I'm sure the 9500 is incredible sounding, but the styling leaves me cold. :blink: As parochial as it may sound, I need speakers to look good (ie:wood grain , NOT black) and to complement the decor of my home.

Have consciously been on a jihad to rid at least the living room of plastic & chrome.
I'm an oak/maple/mahogany/rosewood guy.

I also find the looks 'meh'. I prefer the old school 4-way stuff as they have more character when it comes to design - pure industrial :o:

For whatever reason, both these and the M9500 I find interesting aesthetically.

I couldn't disagree more....S9500 is my favorite looking JBL of all :)

I really want a pair and they are very rare but the price is too high even if rare (S9800 is a better sounding speaker), When I find a pair for 5000 Euro, I'm ready :)

Yes, for me the S9500 is the best looking speaker, especialy for the livingroom (WAF).
But i'm not interested in these, because i have a pair at home. :D:D

I think the price is OK. In the last three years, i saw 2 pairs of these in middle Europe, the are gone for about 12k Euros.
