Hi,
recently I acquired a pair of NOS 51-5145 XO cards.i already have a urei 5235 with 290 hz card for my 4345. However I noticed both cards looked very different. The caps used are also different, the 5145 used rectangular caps while the 290 hz card used sperical caps.
may I know which is a better card to use for 4345?
thanks.

My instincts would be to use the 51-5145 card ( & see if you like it ) .
The rectangular caps you speak of, could be ( yellow ) MKC metallized-polycarbonate caps ( series 344, made by Philips ) .
- All in all, MKC is a pretty "warm" sounding cap ( IME ) .

Thanks Earl, you are quite right, the presentation of the 51-5145 card is darker sounding... The 290 hz card sounds more modern... But more importantly, after I plugged out the 290 hz card, it says " 51-5333 w HF EQ for 2380 series horns".
haha I didn't realize it was not the right card all along. 51-5145 it is then.
