Can someone please plug the JBL 2206 driver into their software and tell me what the max spl from this driver is in a fully active 4 way system from 80-1khz. Where does it run out of steam? I want the 2206 to cross over to a 2235 or 2245 on the low end and a TAD 4001 or JBL 2446 on the upper end with a 2405 on top at 10khz. I want the 2206 to be in a 1cf sealed enclosure using DSP to boost the low end flat to 80hz.

Thanks,
Paul

Thanks Lee. That was a bunch of reading. It didn't really get me to my answer but it was interesting nonetheless.

Actually, you got many answers. Volume (more like 54l - almost 2cft) and how to tune to get flat down to 80Hz (FB=75Hz and high pass filter at 50Hz) ;-)

Thanks Lee, but I definitely want to go with a 1cf SEALED enclosure to take advantage of the improved group delay and transient response over vented.

The 2206 is no delicate flower, I'd not worry about ever blowing one up in a home stereo as a mid bass driver. Look for a thread by Maxwedge, he built a system similar to what you have planned that used the 2206 as mid bass. Not sure if he went sealed or ported, but there are lots of threads here regarding the 2206 as a mid bass driver. Never seen a thread about anybody blowing one up.

The 2206H, if blown at home, was either being EQ'd below tuning in a vented system, or EQ'd to do 20hz as a sub, or there was an amp error with a powerful amp. This isn't an issue.

Thanks Ivica! It looks like overdriving the 2206 takes a much bigger amplifier than I have....
