Brochure on this site http://www.lansingheritage.org/images/jbl/catalogs/1982-home/page09.jpg shows 2245H mounted in 460 using 4 clamps. 460 on sale on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/121320250097 shows 8 clamps. And why the mounting positions? Why not 12, 3, 6, 9? Aesthetics?

Bought a cab on eBay for my self re-coned 2245H and I requested no mounting holes be drilled and no electrical connection hole in the back. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251505511804 Also bought a JBL terminal post cup and MA15 mounting kit on ebay. Mounting kit has 4 clamps

I was looking for some more info about the D130 and found out that they were mounted only with 4 bolts / clamps because using all holes could warp the chassis and cause VC rubbing!

The double clamping is still only 4 locations. The clamps are next to each other. I think you are talking about 8 clamps equidistance. Depending on board thickness I could see how frame warping might occur with 8 clamps.

The 2245 in the B460 (and my 4345s) use four doubled-up clamps (8 total for each driver) as shown in most photos of the B460 you'll find. Perhaps the photo in the brochure you referenced is early or pre-production. Here's another:

The warping issue with the D130 probably goes back to Fender's experience with ham-fisted construction techniques in their guitar amps. Like any fastening operation, including wheels on your car, it's all a matter of applying the proper torque, evenly, and cross-torquing using proper steps and pattern.
