A JBL LE 15A will not physically fit into the 2231's opening on a 4343 baffle

Greetings - I just finished refoaming a pair of recently acquired LE 15As (thanks Cactus Bob) and thought that I would give them a listen in my JBL 4343s . To my surprise, the LE15A would not quite fit into the opening previously occupied by the 2231 woofer. I knew that the magnet assembly was a bit larger on the LE15A , but always thought that the baskets were the same size. Anyone else have a similar experience or were my openings just cut very precise (small) for the 2231s? Thank you for your insight. Paul

There is a 1/16 difference in some of the 15" frames. 14 for a 2220 vs 13 15/16 for a 2235.
