Altec Laguna vs S8R Sovereign ? is this apples to apples

i had a fellow recommend for the ultimate vintage horn setup, that I get my hand on a set of Lagunas -
i hadn't really researched vintage Altec gear so i really don't know much about them.... but i'm curious - how do they stack up?
