Hi guys,

Do you know if there is any audio shop in US dealing with vintage JBL gear, just like HiFi Do in Japan?
I've tried in vain to find it on the internet.
Any comments appreciated.

I don't think there are any "specialty" shops for just JBL -
from what I've seen here and online,
most audiophile shops sell whatever they can get from the hi-end market.

Vintage JBL equipment is rare and hard to find. A shop could not find and buy enough JBL to make it a specialty and stay in business. So there is no such shop.

I dunno - what can I say about a dealer that didn't spell Synthesis correctly??

(top left side of their homepage)Oh geez! You've never made a typo? ;)

That does seem to be an interesting shop... they even have a collection of vintage gear. I'd be surprised if someone from the shop wasn't a member here.

Very much interesting used equipment.

Fortunately, the store is not in my neighborhood.

I mean, anyone can build a website these days, right? And anyone is probably who built that site. Personally, I think we should be glad the site exists at all and that someone is in that business.

Thanks Junior for sharing... it's nice to see others carrying the flame!

Here's a link from his "About us" page:

I'd say that's pretty much a dedicated (including vintage) JBL shop.

I inquired about a pair of JBL 4345 speakers back in September. After explaining he had a lot of experience with JBL dating from the '70's, he then went on to say there was a waiting list for them. I asked why they were listed for sale and received no response. I hope others have a better outcome.:crying:
