Looking for Stanley Screamer Info

I was wondering if anybody was familiar with the Stanley Screamer Dual Subwoofer System (SS-1020)

I have come across one and I am having trouble finding a spec sheet on this item. Power handling/Impedance...

The drivers in this cabinet are the 421-8LF apparently...

Would it be safe to assume that they are wired in parallel so effective impedance would be 4 Ohms and Power handling would be 200W?

The thing that confuses me is that the driver's specs say Freq response is 35Hz - 8000Hz

Yet when these drivers are mounted in the large Screamer enclosure suddenly the freq response drops to 20Hz-80Hz?

I am no expert on the alchemy of speaker enclosures but it seems strange to me.

Any idea what its value is in the open market? Are they exceedingly rare?

Also how was this typically used?

Would it be foolish to try to use it on a mobile club platform or would I be much better off using JBL 18" Compacts Subs like the JRX 118 or MP418S?

I would say they are very rare, having never come across these before.

There was an article years ago that talked about these, and the design behind them was using a HUGE box to push the drivers close to their xmax limits. It is an odd choice for a driver ( a bass guitar driver ) to use in a subwoofer system. I'd assume they are wired in parallel and have an impedance of 4 ohms at 400 watts.

I once read that the "Stanley Screamer" units were put together by "stanley" (i don't know his last name) of Stanal Sound in Kearney, Nebraska. They did the sound for John Denver and Neil Diamond's tours for awhile. It very good for the time - mid 1970's.

I saw a pair of their dual 15 front loaded horn boxes locally (denver, co) a few years ago...
gentleman wanted much money for the empty cabinets....
