It depends, if you play at low volume it will take longer time than playing at high volume. When I got my JBL 4319 I played low for couple of day's then I played at high volume, near clipping point of my MC252 from dusk to dawn with various music. Then the 4319 was broken in. So, play loud, as much the amplifier and speakers can take it. :bouncy:
Take a look at Guangzhou HIFI show:bouncy:

Cool stuff, Martin! Thanks for sharing. Yes, the FM Acoustics stuff is very expensive. I used to own the old FM models, but I sold it off. I had to buy a new car, among other things! lol.

Ah, ah, ah. Headphones + speaker towers at the same time. Is that a new technology I wasn't aware of? ;-)

Definitely a whole different world in marketing. It seems that the common factor found in almost every single display is "EXCESS" (well, JBL at least shows a range of products). Some will call it "BLING" The biggest "THIS" and the most "THAT"... Everything is aimed at impressing your neighboors and friends.

I guess it is what happens when a certain range of products enters a new market all at once. No transistion or evolution. BAM!!! in yo face!!!

Just thinking out loud...

Anyway. Thanks Martin for attending this orgy of an event and sharing some pictures. I am surprised that ladies are still dressed though... ;-)

And most of this stuff goes for silly prices, and I don't usually flinch at $30k and higher systems, but it's fun to look at and hear it too!

The only photo that caught my eye was the one with the brunette on the left.

I went ahead and removed all the superfluous bullshit from the photo.

Well, I was horrified to realize that some people might think that I was lumping the blonde in with all the "superfluous bullshit" and that absolutely, positively was NOT my intent! :crying:
I should edit the photo accordingly but I lack advanced photoshop skills! I'd need to put a grille over that contraption she is leaning her elbow on.

And the JBL photos are quite nice, all the other wannabees are just that. Yeah, yeah, I know, there are those that argue that JBL is a wannabee too since they've flushed their heritage down the toilet but one can also argue that they are still hanging onto the rim with one bloodied hand.

My better half is Asian. She was talking with friends yesterday and came home with this quote ...

"You have to show off - so your friends know you are doing OKAY"

fortunately she doesn't subscribe to that ;)

Thanks for sharing Martin. The JBLs are great & the McIntosh gear was nice too, but all the other stuff doesnt do much for me. Just way over the top & quite ugly to boot, not a good combination. I suppose if the old cashola wasnt an issue I'd take a peek at those Everest but aside from that I'm quite content.
Anyway. Thanks Martin for attending this orgy of an event and sharing some pictures. I am surprised that ladies are still dressed though... ;-):rotfl:

Maybe a function of my age but this caught my attention. A Joe Pesci hair style and some kind of cheap-ass suit? Maybe the luggage was lost in transit. OK, and the plastic on the Focal. Something like your aunt's plastic covered sofa?

Martin, the rooms shown all look quite large. Was that typical at this show. Was some of the equipment shown for display, only? Looks like some was of it was set up for listening but some displays also look to be in the same room.

David ...you articulated exactly what I was thinking :rotfl: ;)

I thought all this bling was from Martin (see thread title), so why the website logo on the photos ? Or are you just shilling for your site ?

My Revels came packed with the same plastic over them to protect the finish. As far as the suite I thought maybe he caught some sleep in it in the plane and didn't have it pressed. Weird the way it looks like it doesn't fit. Look at the pants and where the sleeves stop. Off the rack before it was fitted?

Let me clarify!

Bobecca and I are twins. This is Bobecca's system. When this picture was taken we did mix my gear with his. I have PRX system and McIntosh gear with JBL4319.
