Hi everyone,

Brand new to the forum here, and was hoping some members could help me ID the 12" speaker in my 1977 Mesa Boogie amp. It has an aluminum frame very similar to the Altec 417-8H commonly found in these early Boogies, but the magnet is totally different. Don't see any markings on it at all. Anybody recognize this one? Thanks in advance for the help...

The magnet looks like a JBL ferrite.

Thanks, Stephane. Looks like I'm missing the magnet cover. I was wondering if there should be a decal or something on the magnet...

If memory serves, "raw" drivers come with the badges/decals ... drivers installed in cabinets usually do not.
