Hi guys...

I bought pair of E140 in near mint condition. Previous owner changed dust caps but everything else is original. I was wondering did anyone actually measured JBL E140's frequency response ???

I saw that Zilch - God rest his soul - said that he did very well with 2235H recone in E140 chassis but i never saw measurements of it. TS parameters i found by searching the site. Frequency response i did not. Neither for hybrid 2235E nor for E140.

cheers

Hi Zvuchniak,

Well come "SPEAKERNIAK" (sorry for my translation ) to the 'speaker family'. You are lucky-boy as You have get E140 pair in good condition in Serbia. I have spent a lot of time to get the data You are interesting in, but in JBL Technical Notes Vol1.No.9 You can find what You are looking for about E140. From that I will not suggest you to destroy yours E140 with 2235 recone kit. Fist the price would be about 300eur PER PIECE, so I can suggest You to find some better solution. May be some kind of sub woofer or a kind of bass horn loading ...
