I got a pair of bearly used D16R475ND today. Is this exactly the same as D8R2450SL or is there any differnce? (can't find any model called D16R2450SL)

they are the same except for impedance.

JBL pro and JBL consumer used their own numbering schemes and maintained separate warehouses...and prices...and attitudes...and phone numbers...:)

Hi subwoof ,

From the JBLpro "TRANSDUCER PARTS LIST" it seems that there are (at least) three SL diaphragms , on 16-ohms an two - 8 -ohms but different prices.

1.
Do You have any idea why 2450SL iz about 10% more expensive then 2452H-SL

2450SL $264.00 D8R2450SL
2451SLJ $234.00 D16R2451SL
2452H-SL $234.00 D8R2452-SL

2.
Is it possible to use 2451SL (or 2452H-SL) diaphragm into 2450SL driver..

Regards
Ivica

I think in a previous thread it have been said that 2451 have ribbons and 2450 and 2452 are the same except of terminals. My D16R475ND are smooth like 2450SL so they are probably the same except of 16 ohm.

Edit: if anyone is interested in my D16R475ND I might sell them since I've decided to buy Truextent.

They shouldnt be very hard to sell. As I understand it they arent produced any more and very hard to come by. It is the titanium aquaplas coated diaphrams, right? I know Niklas Nord wanted to buy a pair for his K2 a few years ago but its possible he already got a pair.

Hi baldrick,

If You are using 475 driver up to 10kHz the improvement can be too expensive ( may be)
