Hi, just building the cabs with JBL waveguides.
I would like to paint the waveguides in another color than black.
Has anyone the same idea?
What kind of paint and how to do?
Affects to the sound?

Thanks.

I like white horns, you can get appliance epoxy spray in white (wear a respirator, gloves, long sleeves, goggles, it's sticky and NASTY). It's super durable and adds strength and damping to the horn.

Yes, I did
All I did was sand them down with a fine sand paper.(800grit)
and use a Black Satin Automotive trim coating paint.
This paint is use on auto trim, like rubber bumpers. Its made for rubber. Its also made for exterior use so its very tough. It comes in a spray can. 2 coats of that and it was done.

You can get this at any body shop supply store.

Denis

The quote was from an ancient thread & was in reference to the great refinishing job that Denis ( a Calgary lad ) did to his 2344 horns ( when he refurbed his 4435 monitors .

His 2344 horns ended up looking great ( which is why I remember his 10 year old thread ) .
