Had these put into my Fender Twin Reverb back in 1984. Still going strong but am curious what they are. Any help appreciated. Only number is 8336 and the serial number.

These are Altec 414 . Verry good resolution. Underhung voice coil. Up to 4000 KHZ.

Yes,

( FWIW, the speaker shown by the OP is most likely not a 414 / the diameter of this ferrite magnet is too small ) .

Note the distance of "overhang" ( of the ferrited magnet slug ) , into the spokes of the speaker-frame of this 414-8E .
