Hello all,

I recently inherited a pair of L110s. Unfortunately, the woofer cones have been eaten by some kind of rodent. Do you have any recommendations for replacement woofers that can just be dropped in? Can the woofer be salvaged? There is definitely a piece of the cone missing : /

Thanks in advance!

Howdy Greg,

Your best replacement would be original equipment. You could contact an authorized JBL repair center in your area to have the woofers reconed. Reconing kits may still be available for the LE111A or the LE111H depending on which version of the L110 you happen to have. Retail price wise they run $200 or more plus labor. That is a rather spendy option, or you could check eBay. The LE111A or LE111H woofers come up for sale often there, as L110s are parted out and their components are sold separately. The woofers' foam surrounds are usually refoamed with aftermarket kits from various sellers. I think there currently is a pair of LE111A woofers for sale on the bay.

Or just buy a ratty pair of L110 and you have a lot of spare parts. L110 is pretty common on the bay, though often over-priced.
