Here is the right monitor after patching, texturing and painting. Its not veneer walnut but what the heck, I like it and my wife is somewhat happier.

Will post photos when system is completely setup.

Very Cool, kind of mid 70's styling. Straight out of the Control Room!

Reminds me of a religious icon - all cloaked in white, sunlight pouring down...

They are not white but a rather nice taupe color(wifes pick). Here is a photo of the right side without the new grills (not finished yet). This will give you guys an idea on how the system will look.

Thats where those huge McIntosh M1000 VU meters are going with pretty blue lights eluminating them. Should make cool eye candy. I built the electronics to drive and light them from a DIY schematic and they work great. Just need to cut out the holes and mount them on that 4 space blank.

I look at those and I immediately think "now THOSE things can make some music!"
I'm listening to some older big band stuff right now, and I KNOW it would sound great on those.

Keep 'em warmed up!

Yes, very nice, Ken.

I'm wondering what driver you use on the small horn.

2235H x 2
Gauss 3184B
2441 aluminum phragm
2426 small horn 4.5k up

FYI

Attached is a photo of material I used to seal the drivers on the baffle. It works great. Can be had for 5 bucks for 18 feet at Home Depot.

How do the Westlakes compare to quad-amping some 4355īs?

Alex, I have never heard or seen a pair of 4355's. I have however owned a pair of 4350B's that were bi-amped using Phase Linear 700's and Crown DC 300A's.

The Westlakes simply blow the 4350's away in all aspects. These HR-1's are powered by five AB International amps and an HRX 4 way crossover. I can run them with eight seperate amps but ran into power supply problems. Unfortunately all outlets in the room are on one 15 amp circuit. I am afraid I have to rip the wall up and run a dedicated 20 amp circuit. The budget won't alow that for a few months.

Here is a photo of the Left base cab.

My new LCD 37" TV should be here next week!!!

Thanks Ken, I ran a 50 amp line to my equipment.

That is a Sony CDP-D11 CD Player. Just bought it about 2 weeks ago. Does a nice job.

Awesome setup Ken. Are those White equalizers you have on the rack?

Yep, A pair of 4400's with input and output transformers as well.

You have some top notch electronics on your system.
