Hi I'm new to this forum but got infected by the altec 604 virus without even hearing them and bought myself a pair of altec 604G 8.
They cost me an arm and a leg but they told me they were reconed, with orginal crossovers and what looks to be altered 934 cabinets.
One definitely has a grey tangerine plug while the other seems be without, but that's a rough guess when using a torchlight. Is that bad having just one with a tangering plug???
Anyway it's a step forward in soundquality when I use my 5W Glow tube amps. With 99db they sound a lot better than what I had (but that was to be expected with speakers in a lower pricerange)
So now I'm thinking about building the cornespeakers as designed by Billfort. The buildingplan on his site is missing some dimensions. Does anyone have them?
Are you allowed to change the height and compensate with the depth as long as I keep the 9 cu feet?
