"Dave68" apparently went on a rampage today -
but it looks like he was scrubbed by 2PM today ...
Thanks to the Mods and their good work,
I'm guess its all resolved and over.

I'd say delete anything he sent you and move on.

I don't think you can be open to PMs and not be open to unknown users who "might" pop up like that.

The little bugger sent me three PMs before he got stopped. I'm sure was laughing the whole time he was posting unchecked. Two of them came after I started the Ban Dave68 thread. Heck, he even put porn in there.

Yep his userID showed 37 or more posts in the peak part of the cycle -
dunno if its the anniversary of his ban or if sooty got sick or what -
don't really care - its just a load of bad manners ...
more spoiled child tantrum stuff.

Sooty, really? I guess maybe since they retired the space shuttle, Sooty has to stay on terra firma, and has gotten bored...

Actually, the ISS is still up there, they just retired the Shuttle ...
...but if you don't get my reference, its not important -
but those of us who got porno spammed before know who I mean.

oops, typo on the shuttle - thanks for pointing it out. I get the Sooty reference, but never read his owner's posts or received any educational material from him, though I guess your statement explains why he is no longer here...sorry to keep giving the subject attention. I'm going back to work.

To be honest, I don't know this as a fact -
I just have the strongest possible hunch that its his "style" ...

He did the same thing to me via my personal email at one point right after he was first banned,
and he registered my personal email at some porno sites he used!!
If he had been handy, I would have wringed his neck!

I think you are most definitely on the right track in your assumptions about this guy. He seems "a few fries short of a Happy Meal", to me; or, "the cheese has slipped of his cracker"; or "he ain't runnin' on all cylinders"; or any number of other quaint and colloquial ways my Texas family describes such idiots!! It is a termination offense at pretty much any reputable professional place of business so if that image flashed on any PC's at Harman or elsewhere it could cause a real problem.

My children also occasionally look over my shoulder at the various images people post here of their systems. I'm thankful that neither of them was present when this occured.

yep - my ONLY saving grace was it was a holiday 'round these parts so I was home!

But it really hurt seeing that trash slathered over this place ...
I may not have as much JBL gear as I used to but this place is still my favorite audio hangout -
and a great resource for knowledge.
