Huey and crew had to cancel just prior to the show my wife and I attended last night at the Mountain Winery up in the hills under a Blue Moon. The word was Huey was ill and advised not to go on. This following his pass on an encore in Santa Barbara the week before and a brief visit to a hospital.
I have lost track of how many times my wife and I have attended his shows in this sublime venue rigged with JBL equipment.
I wish Huey well. His music may not appeal to all but you must acknowledge his and his band’s hard-working showbiz approach. He’s also a true sports fan and lends his name and support to local charities. He and the crew have made numerous appearances for singing the national anthem for opening day or series playoffs.
Ah well, it was a beautiful dining experience on the deck high above the south bay hills watching the full moon ascend just the same.
