Hi, All:

Here's a good trivia question: What did they use at the 1967 Monterey Festival for their PA system? If you watch the movie, you'll see Voice of the Theatre cabs on either side of the stage. Does anyone have input to share regarding this system? What were the other cabs next to the Voice of the Theatres which are visible during scenes showing the entire stage?

Regards,
Charley

This system belonged to the Beach Boys
They didn't make it, but they loaned them the PA. It looks to be a rather dinky (by todays standards) collection of VOT PA and studio monitor components.

They have the studio monitor cabs closest
in and the old 604 monitor cabs to right
and 60's era horns on top.

Must have been weak.

Here's a shot from one of several websights about the Monterey Pop Festival, showing the stage during Ravi Shankar's performance. There are a handful of scenes through out the movie, however, which provide a better view.
