anyone have a pic of le25 tweeter with back the cover removed

does anyone have a picture that they could post of the le25 tweeter with the back cover removed, showing internal coil assembly in the frame.
the picture will help me to decide how to remove the my magnet assembly from the speaker frame.
any help is greatly appreciated.

i have located a frontal photo of the le25 tweeter with the surround, cone and dust cap missing from the assembly.
it would appear that the voice coil is shown, missing on the front side of the metal assembly where the magnet is attached.
question???? is there anyone here who has ever actually opened an le25 tweeter who can verify that my statement
above is correct??????????

i ask this question, based on the statements that were made on forums, that repairs had been made to the voice coil by
just opening the dust cap to repair broken voice coil connections.
unfortunately, the photo doesn't show the wiring to the voice coil!
if the repairs were made to the voice coil via removal of the dust cap, then the coil would be applied to the magnet assembly.
this would also mean, it is not be necessary to open the back of the speaker.

since no one corrected me about the assembly of the speaker, the more i read, the more confused i become!!
if the magnet assembly has been pressed into the black mounting plate, there is no way you can remove it without
a press.

Unless its just for the sheer joy of doing it, the LE25 tweeter is a pretty cheap driver,
and if the repair isn't something easy to access like repairing the thin front wire that sometimes gets broken,
most folks would just replace it.

There's really no practical way to repair a damaged LE25 voice coil by attempting to remove the dust cap. The voice coil lead-out wires are under the cone and any attempt to get at them will most likely cause irreversable damage to the cone and/or outer suspension...which will most likely end up with a rub/buzz in the voice coil. There is no access to the voice coil from the rear. The whole assembly is riveted together.

As Heather stated, sometimes it possible to repair a break in the lead-out wire near the solder terminal by heating and lifting up the foam ring, but otherwise a rebuild with D8RLE25,-1, or -2 is in order.

I have not repaired it. I can not understand what the problem is. I can not find a place where the coil wire is damaged. Need a microscope. :dont-know:

btw, JBL has D8RLE252 kits available but they are pretty expensive ($110 ex.shipping etc) so you might want to buy another LE25-2 :crying:
