Well, I have never A-B'd them so it is hard for me to be objective or definitive. I have played with all of the individual components in both systems except for the 2121 10" mid bass driver.

I do feel that the 2440/2441 is substantially better sounding than the 2420. My 4355s are more linear and natural sounding (to me) than the 4333s I have had and heard.

It is possible that the mid bass in the 4343 is superior to the one in the 4350/4355 but I am not sure. With it's more compliant design it will cover the range below 300Hz more linearly than the 2202, but with some added distortion at higher SPLs. It is most likely that the 4350/4355 is objectively a more powerful system and subjectively just different sounding than the 4343.

Greater acoustic output with lower distortion. If you have the room and the money, go for it!

Mr. Widget is correct that the JBL 2" compression drivers are superior to the JBL 1" compression drivers. Reverence Technical Notes Volume 1, Number 8 "Characteristics of High-Frequency Conmpression Drivers"
