hello. i have a pair of l100s. 1 speaker works fine, the other does not have any sound. no sound from woofer mid or tweeter. could this be a caps problem or anyone else with similar issues?

test the continuity of the x-over and drivers with a vom...if infinite the x-over has a short ;)

Make sure it's not your amp 1st, swap the output leads left to right.

Would't that be an "open"

All three speakers being bad at once is unusual. Could be a broken wire at the input terminals. You could move the individual speakers to the other side, one at a time, to test them. The midranges, if they have been played loud a lot, tend to have a voice coil failure that is unique. The coil will measure OK, but it tends to separate from the coil former, so it won't move the cone anymore. The L-pads also have been known to be bad often on L100s.

Maybe someone the power amp had a critial failure on one channel and the speakers got fried by DC. :dont-know:

When try to push the cone of the woofer, does it make a rubbing/scratching noise? Just remember to place your fingers around the dustcap, not on the side of the cone as it will almost always make rubbing noise when you do it like that.

perhaps it has been fixed in the passing two years :)
