Before I go out and get some regular everyday satin black paint, I thought it may be wise to ask for recommendations. JBL's no help. A search here came up empty. No problem with using a gun to get the good finish if that's what it takes. Thanks

Hello Steve
I have a pair of 2344 and 2342 and both required some TLC before use. I basically did a wet sand on both to remove surface scratchs and old paint to give a nice smooth surface. I then just spray painted them with a matte black. That's a bit flater than the original finish but I use mine in an HT set-up. When the lights are down and a movie on the horn just disappear where a semi gloss finish you could get reflections. Attached in a photo on the finished horns.

Hi Steve / Rob
"Midnight", a fellow Western Canadian talks about refinishing his 2344 horns in his thread called 4435 Project Update (http://audioheritage.csdco.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1270) .
There are some nice painting tips mentioned within that thread.
