Does anyone know the specs on these. When I search all I can find is 2205H/J or B. I am looking at a pair on CL. they are in 4560 bass bins for $100 each. Thanks.

I Googled "JBL 2205a" and the first link on top of the screen was this one: http://www.lansingheritage.org/html/jbl/specs/pro-comp/2205.htm

The "B" version is just an 16ohm variant of the 8Ohm 2205A ;)

2205A - Alnico (might want to consider recharging the magnets in these if they don't measure up to factory specs, especially the "Qes" and "BL" results.) 8 ohm

2205H - Ferrite model (magnets are usually okay) 8 ohm

I have no official proof, but I had both and found the Alnico magnet versions to be more suitable to low powered tube amps while the Ferrite seemed happier with SS amps. This is in my setup and my listening room. YMMV

Just my opinion for comparison purposes, do not take as factual please!
