Now this is a rarity:

I was offered a pair of 6425, the active Version of the 4425!
As it is sold from Harman Germany I now understand why nobody knows them.

Do you think they are worth to spend 2000 Euro (2500 USD) for a pair brandnew?

Actually, when you consider the last retail price for the passive 4425 in the US was $2400 a set, $100 more for the active version seems like a good deal.

I paid $1700 for a new US set in 2000, and thought they were well worth it. They give my L-300s a real "run for the money".

Wow 200 watts for the woofer and only 50 for the horn? That seems strange to me. Anybody heard these amps?

I would be tempted just because of the rarity, although if its a mod it may not hold the same weight. I'm really learning to love my 4425's. I haven't found anything that doesn't sound good on them.

Not really Terry. The compression driver horn combo is about 108db @ 1 meter while the woofer is around 91db. You simply don't need much power with compression drivers especially when they are using an active crossover with no power wasting pads to match the sensitivity to the woofer. The other issue is most power is needed below 300hz or so, so that reduces the power needed even more for a compression driver crossed around 1K or so.
