Hi all, I came across a nice deal on a pair of JBL cabinets which I believe were sold as kits manufactured in the late 60's or early 70's. I'm trying to determine if these are actual JBL produced cabinets or something else. They measure 24" W, 25.5" H and 18" D. They were loaded with very nice and fully functional D-130/LE 175/ N1200 :D. Any help on the cab ID would be appreciated.

That grill fretwork is not JBL style..It looks like Barzelay. Or Aristacraft.

Definitely '60s Barzilay kits. I had a similar pair with JBL S-7s in them.

Holy Jig Saw... What the hell was they guy poppin, drinkin' and smokin' when he cut that woofer hole? Looks like a party!

I agree on the Barzilay kits. Cabinets aren't worth squat, but the drivers are worth some..

You need a better monitor! ;)

That's the grille cloth folded inside the baffle . . .

That's the ticket.. let's blame the monitor rather than my old eyes.. I like the way you think ;)

Yes, just grill cloth.:D While not pictured, the cutouts for the N1200's are a little shaky. The cabs are going to get tossed. They have too much veneer damage and have -0 WAF and certainly not worthy for these drivers.
