I've never been able to find any info stating that the 2404 requires CD compensation like the larger bi-radial horns. Does anyone know if it is required or not?
Thanks.

I've never seen a 2404 crossover that has CD compensation. I also have no experience using them:) Here is a link to an old thread discussing this that includes sample JBL crossovers for this tweeter, which are simple second order designs for the 4628B and 4612B:

I'm also thinking about this question of my 4628B.
Waiting for your studying.

Thanks. from: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?6368-Ring-Radiator-Comparisons&p=60872&viewfull=1#post60872 and http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?6368-Ring-Radiator-Comparisons&p=60873&viewfull=1#post60873 it is "visible" that there are possibilities to 'improve" UHF (over say 12kHz) FR-response of the system, if the sensitivity of the rest used drivers "allow" that [ I mean, if the sensitivity of the used LF drivers are less then about 100dB /1W/1m]. May be something useful

Thank you Ivica.

I read that thread, saw those graphs and stupid me didn't go back and revisit it before posting. It is clear why the 2405 is preferred!:)
I've had my 2404's out of my system for awhile and I'm going to put them back in today and play with the cd eq on my x-over today.
