I recently grabbed a pair of 2235's off Craigslist. One of them has a broken binding post as shown in the pics below. Can this part be ordered from JBL? If so, does anyone know the proper part number?

Next question, how does one remove this item? Appreciate all tips and tricks.

if you can solder, the entire plastic assembly can be popped out and a new one put in.

I have a number of these from destroyed frames in the shop a few hours north of you...

I'm pretty comfortable with a soldering iron. My dad had me assemble his Heathkit oscilloscope when I was in 5th/6th grade. A few cold joints, but all in all not bad I think. Did the Volt/Ohm meter before that. Those were the days. But I digress....

I'm interested in talking over the possibilities. I'll send you a PM. Thanks for your help.

Thanks ivica, very useful indeed, and I thought Google was my friend:o:. Subwoof, has located a suitable replacement in his "bone pile"(his words) and something maybe headed my way via Postal Service. Nice to have members like Subwoof and yourself who are so willing to help out.
