I picked up these speakers at a estate auction and they are in very good shape overall. They are missing the factory grills and the surrounds in the woofers and mids are dryrotted. The tweeters have one aluminum dome pushed in and the surrounds have a couple of places that are seperated from the cones. I have found replacements for the woofers but can only find folks that can repair the mids.
Any help with the mids and the tweeters would be greatly appreciated.

Great Plains Audio should be able to help, have you called them?

Thank you for the info Harry. I've contacted them and they can help with the midrange speakers. The tweeters are still another story. Altec made these with a 5 inch flange instead of the more widely used 4 inch flange tweeter. I'll keep looking.

I don't know which part number the Model Nine uses but I do have a pair of #23941's. I believe they are for the SANTANA II but may be used in other applications also. These 5" tweeters are 80's era NOS in the factory boxes from my warranty repair days in Oakland. If they happen to be what You need let Me know..............GH

Thats just a reflection of Me in the dome, it is perfect. Second time out of it's box in 25 yrs. The other box is still sealed.

I make replacement foam grilles for these that attach to the plastic frame they mount on.
