I was going to buy 3xJBL 3678 for my hometheater today... but ended up with two LCR speaker systems :)

I bought 3xJBL 3678 (2226 and 2425) and another bigger system that consist of 4638 boxes (2x2035) with 2447/2352 horns.

I'm going to hook up the 3678 later tonight, but the other system needs active x-over so it's not that easy to test right now.

What system do you think will be best suited for hometheater (and of course some music)? I think maybe the bigger system will be best, but I have not found too many users of 2447/2352... so I really don't know it it's any good.

Sounds good to me.
Those are the horns and drivers I want to upgrade to, using my Be diaphragms and I've heard that the 2352 sounds really nice. I'm using 2385ss w/2445's right now.

I would also belive that 2447/2352 with Be diaphragms would sound pretty nice so maybe that's what I will be amining for!For now I've hooked up the 3678 in my HT, they look quite small next to the 4645 subwoofers :) http://avforum.no/forum/attachments/hvilket-utstyr-har-avforums-medlemmer/89255d1331504358-baldrick-sin-jbl-ti-tanium-crown-hjemmekino-vaert-handletur-igjen-3678.jpg(there will be 4x4645, probably 2 on top of the others)The bigger setup is still in storage in the garage:http://avforum.no/forum/attachments/hvilket-utstyr-har-avforums-medlemmer/89256d1331504358-baldrick-sin-jbl-ti-tanium-crown-hjemmekino-vaert-handletur-igjen-4638.jpgA third alternative is a three way EAW CB523 (http://www.google.no/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=eaw 523&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCoQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eaw.com%2Finfo%2FEAW%2FLoudsp eaker_product_info%2FCurrent_Loudspeakers%2FCinema _Products%2FCB523M%2FCB523MX_SPECS_rev1.pdf&ei=SKldT5zWEtCM4gTy3qn8CQ&usg=AFQjCNFMEm2CMnUbmSTI9qLn-ITmeKlb-g) that I haven't bought (yet), I wonder how they compare to the JBL:http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQxQ6_TBkwQtHTssfsJ9OpReTpbWm1wQ uNgCPdv1v3DZ4h638Zf

Looks great! Reminds me very much of my own system (2x4645C and LCRs consisting of 2226 + 4722-HF ScreenArray horn).

What are you using for calibrating/powering the speakers?

I currently use three 4622n's for HT, which is the 4639 (2 x 2035) and 2430/2384 combo. BUT, I also have the 3 of the 2352/2447 laying around.
Now I wish I had tried them with the 4639's....

I haven't got the time to try the bigger system very much yet, I've only hooked it up to test that they work... I like the 3678 very much but from the litle test I belive the bigger system have more potential so I'm not sure what to do yet. The disadvantge with the bigger system is the need for active x-over and more amps but maybe it's worth it :) I've several amps so I'm not sure what I'm going to use, but probably Parasound NC5125 or Emotiva XPA-5 if i'm useing 3678. If I'm sticking with the bigger speakers I will probably use my Crown SR2 for the L/R woofers and Parasound or Emotiva for the rest.... or maybe I will sell them all and buy Crown amps with builtin DSP/XO.

Present I'm also only useing two of the 4645 woofers but I'm going to use 4 of them!
