Any reason NOT to use my 2352/2447 combo with the 4647 I got for $250? I might as well try it and see, no?

Sure... Give it a whirl. Play with the emphasis switch and the level control ...
JBL has some recommended settings for certain bass/horn combos, but this
isnt likely one of them (horn too new).
