Isobaric ring radiator? :)

I would say there was/is a JBL BMS collaboration on that driver design. The exploded views look very similar the BMS coaxial divers. Actually I remember reading somewhere that small JBL one inch drivers were directly a BMS design. Would I like to have a full VTX rig in my inventory........you bet.

I don't know if this has been posted before but they have the same bolt circle diameter as the 2431/2435/435AL/435BE/476Mg/476Be.

3.250-inch bolt circle and 1/4-20 tap (4 Hole Pattern).

Send me a PM if you want a pair.

Well, I'm happy with my 2450.

Do you have a pair that you've tested?

I bought a pair of D2430K with the intention of trying them on the three different 1.5 in. entrance horns I have on hand. That's when I discovered the "non-standard" bolt-circle measurement.

My plan is to put together a 3-way system, with TAD TL-1801s or JBL 2245s (have both in cabs) up to 100 Hz, Acoustic Elegance TD12M (on order) up to 1000 Hz, and the D2430K above that.

Are there adapters available for using this driver with 3.5 in. bolt-circle horns? If not, what horns are compatible as manufactured?

Any tips appreciated!

Thanks, Joel

^^^^ that flange is specifically for mating the D2430K to the M2 waveguide. The M2 waveguide isn't cheap (nor is that damn flange or the JBL pro logo to go with it).

OK, sorry, didn't know that they quit selling them. Looks like the only ones they still sell are the $1599 Vertex models.

I've asked reconingspeakers again, they say it's $550 each after discounts. Plus shipping.

There's some available on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/JBL-Pro-D2430K-D2-Dual-Diaphragm-Dual-Voice-Coil-Compression-Driver-/282083675799) right now at $350 each, they are used but...

Here is what I measured with D2430K from this seller: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?33345-D2430K-compression-driver-information&p=364302&viewfull=1#post364302
Out of 3 drivers only one had "normal" distortion measurements.

I just looked up the D2430K on Pro Sound Service website, holy moly what has happened to the cost!!!

JBL Pro Parts 446213-001: M/I, D2430K - OUR PRICE $1,999.32

A few months ago it was around $350.

Glad I decided not the go with the DIY M2, I guess the powers at Harmon decided to put the hammer down on the DIY efforts.

That was the original retail cost... I've posted that fact numerous times. Substantially less than the price of the 476Be ;) - "We will be glad to sell you one for a cool $3500" - gtimbers
