What is the difference between the JBL "2404H-1" and the JBL 2404H ?

What is the difference between the JBL "2404H-1" and the JBL 2404H, Ultra-High Frequency Transducers ?
The JBL "2404H-1" with the Bi-Radial 62361 Horn is in the JBL 4612OK Loudspeaker.
JBL says 2404H-1 Diaphragm Replacement D8R075 (original) or D16R2405 maybe used.
Did JBL change diaphragms, if so is there a frequency difference?
I can only find a spec sheet on the JBL 2404H, is there a separate spec sheet for JBL "2404H-1".

You've more or less stated the difference. It's the diaphragm. JBL used the 075 diaphragms in applications where lower crossover point was needed, as in the 4612.

The phase plug is also different, in diameter and angle.

I have measured them and assure you they are.

There are pictures and measurments in a thread calles "Ring Radiator Differences" or something like that. It was started by Widget and has a ton of information in it.

Many of the pictures of parts are in the latter quarter of that thread.

If my memory serves me correctly.
They made two kinds of tweeters.
2404H uses the 2405 diaphragm.
2404H-1 uses the 2402 diaphragm for lower crossover-point usage.
I'm not sure of the differences in the phasing plugs between 2404h and 2404h-1.
And I don't know what speaker system they used the "2404H" tweeter in.

The 2404H-1 tweeter was used in the Cabaret 4612B and in the Enclosed Utility system 4612OK.
The 4612B was a road Mini PA sound reinforcement cabinet.
The 4612OK was a oak vinyl covered version of 4612B for fixed installations.

The best bet to find a 2404H-1 is eBay or Craigslist and look for a 4612B or the 4612OK speaker cabinets.
Sometimes sellers are selling single cabinets.
Sometimes sellers will list them as 2404H and for get the -1.
If you find a 2404H for sale, just ask the seller what cabinet it came out of.
It it came out of 4612B or a 4612OK speaker cabinet then you know it is a 2404H-1.
The number 2404H or 2404H-1 should be labeled on the back of tweeter.

Thanks for all the great info! I actually bought a pair of beaten up 4612 for the excellent 2118 drivers. But one 2404h-1 was missing.

Its clearly marked 2404h-1 on the magnet, so they are easy to identify for the trained eye

I believe you can make a H-1 by installing a 075 or 2402 dia in any 2404. I may have an original H-1 but just moved so everything is boxed up. Somewhere!
