Well, since its a PROFESSIONAL speaker, I would imagine that JBL professional division expected the typical buyer
(recording studio or similar) would already know how to properly sweep the playback area
and set the equalization & playback gear for the best response for their uses.

The pairs I have seen in place were either hung from the ceiling & tilted towards the studio floor
where the band/musicians being recorded would be set up, or flush mounted in the walls.

I have seen pictures of them set up on the floor in the listening area -
mostly for high end audio buyer usage.

The Spec Sheet is probably all that was provided.

These are not the usual consumer speakers like the L100, L200 or L300

Hi,
Last year, when purchasing the JBL 3732M-HF, there is nothing in the shipping box, no manual or spec Sheet. :crying:

No one has suggested this link yet that I can see. Though I expect the OP has already seen it:

I might suggest from the response so far that nothing of the sort exists. Anyone ever seen such an animal? :dont-know:

Are you just trying to hook them up, or solve a problem? You did say "need".
I'm sure you can get answers to specific issues right here.
Or are you wanting to complete your library? Or is this just to add to their resale value?

Has anyone yet suggested to contact Harman directly? Those speakers may be 30 years old, but Harman probably still has a part number for that manual if it ever existed. But as was said, being a professional speaker, I suspect that install manual must have been at minimum, if ever supplied.

This is just very hard to explain in a non-technical fashion,
and harder still to to explain in a non-native language.

Not enough information ...
What is your room like? How tall? how wide?
what else is in the room with the speakers?

These are PROFESSIONAL recording studio type speakers -
They could be mounted in the soffit (studio wall) to point down and toward the listening position.
Or maybe hung with chains from the ceiling of a commercial space (like a bar, nightclub or concert hall).

Once installed, the general setup would be to use test equipment to check room acoustics,
then treat the room to get the acoustics as needed for a good response.

You pretty much need a studio engineer or someone like that to hep you set these professional speakers up for the best performance.

Its not something explained in "the manual" because they are not speakers that would usually be sold to the general public.

If you buy a racing car, the company that makes it assumes you already know a lot about racing cars in general - they don't explain the basics of cars to you.

Here is something I would use as a -start-:

If there is room to separate them by ~3m (without getting closer than
1m to each side wall, sit ~3m away, put the tweeters on the outside,
and "toe-in" or angle the speakers toward the listening seat to taste.

I'd suggest using a low slung chair or to raise the speakers until the
horn centers are at ear level (while seated).

You might prefer the tweeters in-board, whether due to sidewall
reflections, or a tighter image. I know they are heavy but some
experimentation in placement may be quite worthwhile.

Note that the schematic doesn't show R2 which is a 62 ohm resistor in parallel with C3, C4, and C13.
