I found many threads related to 035Ti and 035TiA, but nothing specific on 035TiA-1 which is what the 250Ti BQ indicates.

Are the two (035TiA and 035TiA-1) the exact same drivers? If yes, why would JBL bother with the "-1" if it has no significance?

I removed one of mine to take a look on the back and here's what it looks like.

Looks like Magic Marker to me. :dont-know:

250Ti BQ does show such an animal: http://www.jbl.com/resources/Brands/jbl/Products/ProductRelatedDocuments/en-US/technicalsheet/250tiBQ%20ts.pdf

Though it also specs the replacement diaphragm for the tweeter as the D8R035TiA which is the same as the 035TiA

Rob, here's the snapshot of the spec from your attached PDF file where it show the "-1".

Umm, yeah, I know. That's why I posted the PDF . . . :banghead:

. . . and they still use the same diaphragm. Still looks like Magic Marker on the magnet, too!

I've never seen an 035Tia or 035Tia-1 up close, but in the posted picture the glue that covers the leads running to the connectors sure looks to be much thicker than that on the 035Ti's. I've read a few comments by owners about these leads breaking on the 035Ti's. I wonder if that might be part of the difference. :dont-know:

I was going to guess that the protection screen was a different color.

In some SR drivers the "-1" indicates a ferrofluid cooled driver...

In this case well... :dont-know:

I compared dwg specs of the L7 against the 250Ti BQ and noticed the screen P/N's are different as shown. Not sure why they changed that on the 250Ti BQ's.

Anyway, was just curious and wanted to find out.
