I finally had to do my pair but stupidly I didn't measure them before hand for Fs. The T/S specs we have put Fs at 20Hz. After a fresh re-foam with zero break in the first one measures about 17Hz on my WT2.

Has anyone else actually measured a pair. I know my 2235's measured below the T/S Fs also 20Hz with fresh re-cones. Do these also normally measure below Fs??

I am a bit surprised I didn't expect a lower number but expected a higher one several Hz above the published Fs especially right out of the gate.

Do these also normally measure below Fs??Maybe the spider is a bit tired. Or it could have been reconed with a 124A/H / 2203A/H kit (C8R2203) at some point which has the softer spider (Fs ~ 16 Hz). :dont-know:

Here is a pair of 121H's I recently reconed with NOS JBL C8R121's that required Rick Cobb refoams before I installed the kits. They came out fantastic. These things are seriously overpowered. Too bad they have such a low xmech. Their speed is stellar.

Could be, I have no way of knowing when they were reconed, although the spiders seem stiff as hell nothing flopping around?? Thanks I got my kits from Rick as well and they fit like a glove. Let's see how the other one measures tommorow night.

Second one came in at 19Hz so one at 17Hz the other at 19Hz??:dont-know: Oh well they sure work just fine:D I thought about the 2203 possibility but the cones are clearly marked 121A so I guess I have lopsided tired spiders:eek: Perfect for Halloween

Just refoamed 136H that had a 2235 cone kit installed. Used a Rick Cobb kit for the 2235 and FS came in at 19Hz right on the money. It seems he really has his kit's dialed in.
