They certainly do not look the same so I wouldn't think a reconed K120 would be the same... But maybe it sounds simmilar but don't have the powerhandling of the 2204h?

If the alnico magnet is charged to spec then the K120 reconed as a 2204 will be functionally equivalent except for power handling. The SFG ferrite structure is a bit better heat sink.

Of course, once you dump enough current into the driver to make power handling an issue you'll end up with a partially discharged platform anyway.

The alnico motors looks good - I'll measure and check if the speaker is up to (the 2204) specs.
