I dunno - $2200 seems a bit steep - tho I'll admit I'm unsure of the US/NZ exchange rate -- that first pair of big monitors I got in Feb ' 06 were less that a 1/4 of that price - and played fine. http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?9796-4320-Project

Looks like someone just got carried away and glued a few too many sections on those lenses.

One of the short-lived installation speakers used a double 2308 lens for dispersion over a pair of 2105's. We had a pair in the stockroom way back then because they kept falling off...
