They did not post an address or phone number and did not respond to the Craig's list email.

But the street is only 3 blocks long so I won't have a problem finding the house as long as they have a sign or piles of 4343 and 4350's out front....

I joked about seeing a pile of monitors in the front yard but the first thing I saw in the front yard was 2 big and 2 smaller black boxes with the familiar white JBL logo on them. The pair I bought AS4718 Std and some smaller ones with a pair of 10" drivers.

The 18" 2241 that looks pristine as if the grill cover was not removed until I took the attached image.

They are from a church and she asked $125 for the pair, I paid her asking price.

I should strap one of them in the back of my truck with a DC300A powered by a true sine wave inverter download some of that "music" you hear thumping in cars these days and cruise through downtown tonight.:)

I would be the envy of the 14 to 25 + or - year old crowd down there.:D No real response above 2000 hz and they would love it.....

Not to burst your bubble, but I've seen car audio systems that would dwarf your 2241s in terms of SPL.
Absolutely brutal. Quality and listening pleasure is another thing however.

Lucky you bothered to go :) ... any idea what the 10" systems were?
for that kind of price, they might be worth a second look...

My goal today was to get new tires on my truck check out the computer speakers at the yard sale and put 15-20 miles on my bike.

I ended up getting tires and hauling JBLs. I got on my bike late and somehow I knew I would end up over there again so I did not fight it. They were packing up and she looks at me pointing and says "He is the guy who bought the big ones" while looking at her husband. She says do you want those? I said no my wife will kill me she immediately asked here husband how much for those? He says how about $25 I said you are killing me as I reached in for my wallet. Good now I don't have to move them he says.

They are AS1022 STD with 2 2206's each and were bolted together and hung from the ceiling. I asked him about the rest and he said they have been selling them at yard sales of the congregation and this was the last of it.
They have upgraded to a distributed system with video screens.
I thought they were 10" drivers because I did not really look that closely at them because I thought I might be tempted.

They apparently look at this stuff as junk that they are getting at least a few bucks for the congregation.

A bunch more JBL stuff with no real reason or purpose.

I guess it is not all that surprising seeing big and heavy PA stuff going cheap. All you see with traveling bands are compact systems like the JBL EON and if they want louder better coverage buy more EON with a mini van maybe a small trailer is all you need.

The AV contractor at this church offered them nothing for their existing system, did not want it.

Installations use distributed systems with a lot of smaller speakers and video screens.

Years back I bought 4 knock off 4530 "scoops" very good knock offs in OK shape with 4 2225's one ripped and a single 2220 blown and a 2226 for a lot more than $150 a lot more. I literally could not give away the cabs and ended up throwing them away. I simply got sick of moving them around.

Happy for you. My continued unsolicited advice would be to move all of those drivers on eBay as quickly as you can, and buy you and your wife a really nice night out. Seriously.

Modified the 4718's with a 2405H, 2441 with McCauley 417 crossed with a LX16 and N8000.

I have fabricate a mount for the horns and touch up the paint but they sound great.
