question about L36s

Greetings, first post. Sorry if this is redundant but can't seem to search for "L36" on this forum

Anyways, picked up these speakers for cheap, they sound good. Wood is immaculate. One of the woofers is rattling and the tweeters are pushed in though.

So is it worth it to replace the drivers and/or crossover on this speaker for an improvement in sound quality? Or would I be better off upgrading to one of the higher L1XX models? Thanks!

Use Google Advanced Search (http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en) with the www.audioheritage.org (http://www.audioheritage.org) domain and "L36" in the search field. This site's search feature can't handle three-letter key words.

The L36 is in my opinion a nice speaker. Please post a picture, as sometimes it is possible to use a small pin to get the tweeters out again. Regarding the rattling woofer, this has to be re-coned or replaced, but I don't know if spare parts are available. The crossover should not be a problem to repair.

The L-36 has never got much in the way of accolades bit is a nice speaker and parts are plentiful.
