I have a set of Altec 416 16z speakers and a set of 806 High freq. drivers Ive down loaded the loudspeaker enclosure design guide but I does not give me the port sizes for a given enclosure, I see it states that a 7.5 c.f. Regular port bass reflex enclosure is optimum, witch I will use.
I just cant figure what size of port I need for that 7.5 box.
Can anyone give me a hand Im a dork and cant figure this out.

By the way My name is Jay and you have an awesome site I am glad I found it .
Thanks in advance

Hi Jay, I have some old Altec literature. With a 416 type woofer in a 7.5 cubic ft,regular port cabinet, the port size should be 42 sq in. If you want a much better extreme high end response, try using great jbl 077 tweeters, if you can find a used pair.- RUDY

I built my Altecs using this guide from Altec. If you are building a loudspeaker enclosure, this is a must read:
