View Full Version : Installing O33 Tweeter Diaphram

Greetings! This is my first post here.

My recently acquired L110s have all damaged dust caps and tweeter diaphragms. I've heard that the tweeters need to be re-assembled with an audio oscillator (or a signal generator?), but that a tone signal would do.

Could someone please explain how to do this, preferably with a tone signal? I've been scouring the net to no avail on this.

Also - It's OK to spray paint the diaphragm a matching black color, right?

Thanks for the help - I'm looking forward to getting these bad boys singing again.

Read this thread http://www.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=speakers&n=300059&highlight=
to completion and if all else fails get a couple of these

The diaphragm is mounted to a plastic plate which in turn is stuck lightly with a bostick type adhesive to the top plate of the magnet. The goo is visible in the pic. You need to pry off the diaphragm plate to get in there.
