I acquired a pair of these powered subs, which are of oddball design, with two 12" woofers in each (Isobaric, perhaps?).

Do we know anything about these?

So far, I can tell you that they sound good, but the power transformers, apparently cheap, buzz at a low, but audible level when they're in "standby."

Don't know how THAT got by THX certification....

Drivers are mounted back to back, one firing out each side, ported. Approximately 4.0 cu.ft. net box size.

Dual inputs are summed, and sent to two 100W amps in dual mono mode, one with "phase incursion," the other a "buffer," each driving one of the speakers.

The electronics are overwrought in comparison to the ordinary. Somethin' else is going on here.... :confused:

Time to open them up, maybe.... :)

There's one of these on the local CL for $500. What did you ever find out?

There's one of these on the local CL for $500. What did you ever find out?Nothing. They're still here, and I'm still using one of them regularly. They now have marble tops.

Still curious, but horns have assumed priority.... :p
