Hi I did a search of the forum, other than one cannot really hear the difference between 250 hz and 290 hz, i could not really find the reason JBL did this switch from 4350 to 4355. I also noticed that the other 4343/4345 also uses 290 hz as crossover point. Does anyone know the reason why JBL made this switch?

Thanks

My guess will be that the 4350 has twin 15" woofers and 12" low midrange, vs 4343/4345 has one 15" (18" for 4345) and 10" low midrange.

Those who know more will surly "climb in" here.

I did not go into the technical issue in my reply because I have not the skill. Just made my thoughts regarding the different drivers of the two speakers and that might have something to do with the x-over cross points. Regarding listening and the difference in sound is more my experience.

Thanks guys,

Actually my question was why did JBL shifted from 250 hz to 290 hz ? they could have stuck to 250 hz and judging from other posts here, lower than 250 hz seems to be the preferred choice.

Thanks
