I have A chance to buy one White Electronics 200 signal RTA Is this able to do a good job on seting up and tuning my speaker project ?? anyone have experance with this unit

Read the query... I've never seen nor used that model.

Older, dedicated rta's seem to have mostly been replaced
by laptops with a bit of hardware (mic and pre with a/d).

If it was cheap, it might be fun to play with. If the pic I
found is the same unit, it looks like it still would need a
mic, is limited to 4.5 kHz, and would be a nightmare to
repair if it failed (let alone having faith in it's calibration).
The more think about it, the more I'd pass unless it floats
your nostalgia for old audio test gear... Nothing wrong
with that. :)
