Need crossover help from a Newby

I am new here but have been reading the forum for some time. I have a pair of 612 cabinets that have Altec 803-B woofers in them with 804-A High Frequency driver horns on top of the cabinet. The crossover are N800-E.
I have temporarily replaced the caps in the crossover with a pair of oils that I have but want a better solution. Is there a better crossover that I can install or what do you suggest?

what kind of flavor are you looking for?
Do you want to retain the original manufacturer's as originally implemented?

you could stay Altec textbook by constructing new following Altec diagrams...
or rebuilding what you have....

you could go active and collect amplifiers also...

you could get into passive line level crossovers...


what are you looking to do, exactly?
