Jbl l19 ?

Hello!

I have a JBL L 19. The speaker is black, but the real 116 is not black. Maybe have a "special black 116A/H speaker series", or no? Maybe did anybody painted the speaker?

It looks like when they were refoamed someone coated the cones. I can't tell from the picture but may be a clear coat or gloss black paint. They didn't come that way. The speakers are also missing the foam ring around the tweeters.

LE26 has no foam, so that's just dandy.
The woofers have had some 'custom' work done, as Wardsweb
noted. I wouldn't worry about it much, unless you paid extra
based on condition, or they sound like there is a problem.
