I bought a pair of these lenses with the matching horns. One set has the oval JBL labels, the other does not. Did JBL always mark all of them? My pair look virtually identical, but I am curious if maybe one could be a repro if not marked?

Any help to clarify would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Here are the photos. The Horn does not have the label as well on one. I can not really see much difference if any. The only thing I see is the paint missing on the horn where it attaches to the driver.

I think, this are original JBL Parts. May be the labels have gone. But the lens and horn looks good, wrinckle paint ant the gold colour.
As you can see in my avatar these 2390 Horns have a different sticker called "HO FLÖSS", but this are original JBL Parts.

So, I still have not heard from any experts on the vintage stuff. Does anyone know if JBL would let parts leave the factory without badges? For example, would they sell a hartsfield with these horns or lenses without badges? If not, then they have been removed or are not original parts. I am hoping they are original but without badges how can I be sure?

Thanks.

Older items are often mis-matched in appearance. This is because many people started with a monophonic system, and later purchased the parts to make a stereo pair.

I've bought in the 70' a pair of theese horns/lens ant throat adapter for the 2420 (brand new from a musical store in Montreal) and they were black painted and they had no stickers on them from what I remember.
