To all JBL fans :) I just registered here and i think its great that this place exists with so much information.
Currently i have a pair of control 25's as my desktop speakers connected to Harman 3490 reciever, from the sub output it goes to my Crown Xti 4000 wich powers P1222 subwoofer from car audio :) he is in a compression box. I can only say i love this system! and enjoy listening to it :)
One thing that cached my eye yesterday and it doesn't give me peace is this http://www.kupujemprodajem.com/jbl-4312-xp-501122-oglas.htm
He says they are not repaired or anything, great condition etc, price is also very nice! :) He lives 300km from me so i can go and take a look and listen to them.
I'm interested in your thoughts about this box and a combination with my reciever, also would like to know what is the difference between this 4312xp and the other 4312 models with titanium high freq.
Sorry for my bad English :bouncy:

Don't hesitate, at that price and if in great shape, take a look, listen to them and pick them up ;)

Probably these babies are sounding like the later 4312 model ...

3490 is a very nice receiver, but to my memory I don't think there is any real bass management for the sub pre-outs, nor for the main channels. You may want to check into that as some attention is necessary to get crossovers managed correctly when running a sub/sat system.

I like the P1222 very much, but it should require some purposeful enclosure design changes (from the suggested car boxes) and crossover management to get to sounding right indoors. I would probably be using a pair of them for DIY subwoofers myself, had I not picked up some nice ED 15"s on clearance.

Thanks everyone! I bought the speakers and just wow! i fell in love! so much life, soul, power and every aspect that i can think off :) Just brilliant! :hurray:

@Slare

Thanks for the info :) I switched off the bass output on the receiver and did the crossover on my crown xti, its set on 80hz 24db it has full dsp with computer software so you can make everything possible :)
As for the box i made a compression box like needed in the car and i can say it sounds very nice and tight, it pounds my room, but somehow besides 4312 i think i will never turn it on again :D
Here are some pictures to share with you all

Nice! They look a lot like my 4412A's, layout wise. A classic JBL Studio Monitor layout, in other words.

They will sound more coherent laying on the side, with the tweeter and mid aligned vertically. Horizontal dispersion is much more even that way. The labels are just for selling them, not using them apparently.

Did they come as a mirrored pair?

Found the stands :)

In search for a amp to power my speakers i found Krell KAV 300i used, its pricey but i would like to know is it worth? and will it be a nice combination with my speakers?(4312xp) :) Hope someone has that experience :)
